It is very popular as a body oil due to its great spreadability and pleasant smell. Additionally, it is used as a cleansing oil in facial treatments or added to face oils for an extra moisturising effect.
What are carrier oils?
Carrier oil, also known as base oil or vegetable oil, is used to dilute essential oils and absolute before they are applied to the skin in massage and aromatherapy. They carry the essential oil into the skin. They do not contain concentrated aroma, unlike essential oils.
