Nexium Control Esomeprazole Tablets are used for the short-term treatment of symptoms associated with reflux such as heartburn and acid indigestion. They provide long lasting relief and are ideal for 24 hour control.
Description
Nexium Gastro-Resistant Tablets 20mg 7s gastro-resistant tablets help bring relief from heartburn & acid reflux. It works by reducing the amount of acid in your stomach to relieve your symptoms. It is also used to prevent ulcers in people who use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
What is Nexium used for?
- To treat Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- To treat ulcers in the stomach or the upper part of the gut that are infected with bacteria called ‘Helicobacter pylori’ in combination with antibiotics.
- To treat stomach ulcers caused by Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
- To treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, which results in too much acid in the stomach caused by a growth in the pancreas

How to Use
Warnings
Do not take Nexium if:
- You are allergic to esomeprazole
- If you are allergic to other proton pump inhibitor medicines
- If you have severe liver problems.
- Always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines.
- If you have reduced body stores or risk factors for reduced vitamin B12 and receive pantoprazole long-term treatment. As with all acid reducing agents, pantoprazole may lead to a reduced absorption of vitamin B12.
Side Effects
Generally very well tolerated but may cause headache, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and nausea.
