Its active ingredient, tetracaine, is a powerful local anaesthetic that penetrates the skin to desensitise the area before a needle is used. Whether it is for a child's vaccination or an adult's blood test, Ametop helps to significantly reduce the "sting" and discomfort associated with these procedures.
The 1.5g tube is a single-use application, providing exactly the right amount of gel for a typical site, such as the back of the hand or the inside of the elbow.
