Leukoplast Wound Closure Strips consist of a polyamide knitted fabric backing material coated on one side with an UV-curing acrylic adhesive. The rounded edges keep the strips in place, and the PET liner is perforated at both ends to simplify application. Leukoplast wound closure strip is sealed in printed pouches, packed into folding boxes and sterilised with ethyleneoxide.
The strips are flexible and elastic, and the intelligent structure and interwoven polyamide threads mean that they adapt to the different healing stages of the wound, expanding and contracting to allow for swelling, temporary edema and movement. They are fast and easy to apply, saving time and cutting the cost of follow-up wound management, with less risk of infection.
