Medicare V2 Portable Nebuliser

Hello, I ordered this for my father, who recently underwent a full Laryngectomy. He was recommended this device as an on the go Nebuliser by another patient who finds it great to clean the stoma while out and about. We used the instructions to set it up and installed the batteries. We were pressing the green button but it wasn't staying on to give him enough steam to use. It was like a spray and then stopping unless he pressed the button again and it would produce another spray. We showed the public health nurse and she suggested to get in touch as it should be a constant run of steam like the home Nebuliser but its not unfortunately. Could it be faulty? We have heard fantastic reviews about this product from other people who have had Laryngectomies so maybe this is possible?
